The Hockey Show - Episode 157

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced hockey radio show, is going outside the lines tonight as we feature our first round-table discussion with some fun and slightly crazy people. With NHL training camps starting up this month, Beans and myself will welcome a few hockey-minded folks to the show tonight as we discuss who will finish where, who will win divisions, who captures the Stanley Cup, and all sorts of other crazy predictions. It should be a show that generates much discussion among your peers, so tune in tonight and hear our off-the-wall predictions!

Joining Beans and I tonight are an Avalanche fan, an Islanders fan, and a Jets fan, so we feel we have a good cross-section of the NHL spectrum covered. James, who contributes to the Avs Hockey Podcast, will be one of our guests and it's pretty easy to figure which of the three he is. The second gentleman joining us is John who writes the entertaining Capitol District Islander blog, so you can probably connect the dots on which person he is. The third person is a local celebrity as Tom is best known as the public address voice at all Manitoba Bisons hockey games, and Tom will be in-studio with us tonight! As stated above, we'll break down all of the divisions in terms of which teams finish where, and we'll make out somewhat-insane predictions on who wins the Stanley Cup. We'll discuss some of the hot topics in hockey as training camps open, so expect some Patrick Kane disucssion, some Slava Voynov chatter, some 3-on-3 overtime banter, and more!

The phones will be closed tonight as we welcome James, John, and Tom to the show, so tune your radio dial in the Winnipeg region to 101.5 FM or you can listen live between 5:30pm and 6:30pm CT on your web-enabled device at the UMFM webpage! You can tweet me anytime with questions you may have for Big Ern by hitting me up at @TeebzHBIC on Twitter. You can also post some stuff to Facebook if you use the "Like" feature, and I always have crazy stuff posted there that doesn't make it to the blog or show. All predictions are guaranteed correct tonight or your money back only on The Hockey Show!
